It's the year of Chuck Palahnuik.
Fight Club 2 came out in hardcover this week, Fight Club 3 is in the works, Snuff is becoming a TV series, James Franco is adapting Rant, and Palahnuik himself tweeted that a Fight Club rock opera directed by David Fincher might hit Broadway soon.
You can ask the author himself all about this because Reddit is hosting an Ask Me Anything Twitter chat with the author at 2 pm today. Just tweet to @reddit_AMA and Palahnuik will reply. Or Portlander Andy Mingo will.
The AMA is part of a Kickstarter to fund the film adaptation of Lullaby, which Palahnuik co-wrote with Mingo.
"He's never been involved in a project as much as he is with ours," said the other Portlander behind Lullaby, producer Josh Leake, who also runs the Portland Film Festival.
Lullaby will be shot and produced in Oregon, if funded, and it's nearly halfway there after four days. Most of the other details are still secret.
"I can't tell you anything [about the stars], but I can tell you that you know who they are," says Leake. Another thing they're sitting on? The Fight Club 2 trailer, which Mingo is also creating, is set to come out this June.
For the AMA, maybe Mingo and Palahnuik will be more forthcoming.
