The film version of Portland author Willy Vlautin's Oregon Book Award-winning novel Lean on Pete is in need of extras.
The book, set in part at Portland Meadows racetrack and tells the story of a boy and his horse, stars Chloe Sevigny as a jockey and Steve Buscemi as a trainer.
On Friday, September 2nd, they're shooting a big horse racing scene at Portland Meadows—where parts of the book take place—and need background extras. The job pays $78/day (based on 8 hours), and there will be catering and craft services, according to a local media coordinator who's working on the film.
Yesterday's Craigslist post calling for extras is now deleted, but the still-live public Facebook post reads: "If you are interested in this opportunity, please email me your name, cell number, a headshot photo of you (a selfie is fine) to email@example.com. Feel free to spread the word to your friends and family!"
The film is slated for release in 2017.
