You can add a stop at this convenient shop across from Fred Meyer to that long to-do list of errands on Hawthorne Boulevard. Inside, there's a dog curled up on the chair, a jar full of Hi-Chews, and a stack of "Sponberg for Mayor" fliers ("NO AIR BnB," "volunteerism," "'out of town tax' on new home buyers"). In the backroom, it's laid out like a bartender's station, with the more modestly priced options on the bottom shelf, climbing up to the top shelf, where a gram will set you back $17. There's no menu on the wall, which the budtenders referred to as an "interactive experience" of picking up each jar or pre-rolled to examine the stats. The budtenders are friendly, but not especially effusive. Then again, they're used to getting slammed with harried errand-doers.
