When you walk into Pakalolo, three dogs immediately greet you. They're relaxed and open to getting pats from strangers, which may be because they've been living in the dispensary for the year and a half it's been open, or because they're taking CBD dog treats, which Pakalolo sells for $35 a box. The owners moved from Hawaii to start the dispensary, which takes its name from for the Hawaiian slang for weed, translated literally as "crazy grass." Because it's a home converted into a dispensary, the place feels discreet and comfortable, complete with the pug who sits in front of the lit fireplace. But the Jamba Juice orange and green walls make you feel more like you're in a dispensary, as do the shop's specialty: 2-gram joints rolled personally by Pakalolo's owner, which go for $13.75 recreational. He also takes custom orders, regularly making 7-gram joints with top-shelf bud for $56. The shop also has an impressive collection of high-quality local glass made just up by street, ranging from $10 to $80.
