[November 22nd, 2006] I love stuff. Big stuff. Little stuff. Cool stuff.
You know...stuff.
That's why I love this time of year. This is when Willamette Week devotes page after page to "stuff" for the always-awesome annual Holiday Gift Guides. For the last several months we've collected—OK, hoarded—all sorts of really interesting stuff that we think is worthy of your nearest and dearest. And this year, due to the extraordinary efforts of my assistant, Elianna Bar-El, who loves to shop more than anyone I know (she proudly calls herself a true "Jewish American princess"); our art director, Thomas Cobb; and a few other nondenominational holiday elves, we've come up one with our best guides yet, loaded with all sorts of fun stuff in an easy-to-decipher numbered format. For those pinching pennies, you can find inside a wonderful holiday event guide with loads of free events, and in two weeks we come out with one more timely gift-giving issue. To wrap it up we'll even offer a guide to New Year's Eve. So until then, enjoy shopping as I go hit the eggnog. Hard.
Best holiday wishes,
Byron Beck, Editor
