beer league: Danny Bonaduce with his new best friend, Joel Martinez. PAM logo spurned: Found buried on the art museum's website.
BY WW EDITORIAL STAFF | 503 243-2122

[March 28th, 2007] DANNY BOY The Thirsty Lion , that infamous Brit bar at the corner of Southwest 2nd Avenue and Davis Street, was host to a former child star turned criminal turned reality star this weekend. Danny Bonaduce , of The Partridge Family and Breaking Bonaduce fame, was the special guest of radio station KUFO —who had him in town for a special event we're fairly sure included some kind of man-on-man action (Bonaduce loves to fight). According to ace reporter Joel Martinez (who's actually the little bro of Queer Window columnist Byron Beck's boyfriend, Juan), though, the radio jock/jerk was on his best behavior, looking "ripped" and, according to Martinez, drinking up a storm...OK, he saw him down one drink.

HAND-HOLDERS Hold onto your microphones: Portland's own Hand2Mouth Theatre has just been programmed into PICA's TBA 2007 festival with their raucous new show, Repeat After Me. Billed as "one part karaoke sing-along gone wrong, one part dance theater, one part American nightmare," the show opens to locals April 12-29 at the Goldsmith Performance Lab in Old Town, then will run again at TBA this September. Speaking of, Scoop hears that last year's breakout company, the Nature Theater of Oklahoma , are slated to return again this year, perhaps with No Dice, the show they just debuted at NYC's Under the Radar fest (curated by TBA's own artistic director, Mark Russell).

LOGO NO-GO Nothing wrong with museums wanting to put their best face forward with a fancy-shmancy logo—which is why insiders say Portland Art Museum spent tens of thousands of dollars in 2005-2006 redesigning and relaunching their new brand (which, if you ask Scoop, is just plain hard to read). Apparently new PAM Exec Director Brian Ferriso agrees, which is why they say he's decided to chuck the logo and spend even more bucks for yet another new PAM logo to be unveiled in the next year or two.

LAUGHS...LIVE Local comedy says, "Look Ma! I'm on TV!" Starting April 1, the Harvey's Comedy Show will air on Sundays at 9 pm on Comcast Channel 14. Each episode will feature a different headliner and 25 minutes of their primo material. The first show to air is the March 18 taping of Portland's own Dwight Slade, whom you might recognize from Comedy Central's Premium Blend. If you've ever dreamt of being one of those people they show laughing in the audience, your time has come. All you gotta do is head down to the show's live taping around 8 pm each Wednesday at Harvey's (436 NW 6th Ave., 241-0338).
