[March 28th, 2007] Portlandfoodanddrink.com delivered the rumor last weekend that Ten 01's chef Eddie Robinson was ousted from the Pearl District restaurant. WW confirmed that Robinson has resigned in a conversation with co-owner/chef Adam Berger Tuesday, March 20. "This isn't about Eddie...it's about Michael [Rypkema, co-owner] and I doing what we need to do to make Ten 01 the restaurant that the public wants...and that [WW reviewer] Heidi [Yorkshire] wants and [the O.'s] Karen Brooks wants," a confident Berger told WW. "No, Ten 01 will not be re-named Tabla West—but you will find me back in the kitchen ...," he added via email. Read more from Berger at wweek.com.

Local restauranteur Bruce Carey announced on St. Paddy's Day that he's buying clarklewis , adding the former Ripe project to his food stable of Bluehour, Saucebox and 23Hoyt. "I have no intention of making radical change at Clarklewis," he wrote in an email to local peeps, noting that restaurant rehabber Chris Israel and he would be working at clarklewis and that former Ripe co-head Naomi Pomeroy will continue her Sunday Family Suppers in the space.
