Liza Rietz/Emily Ryan Two local designers team up to showcase their fall ’08-spring ’09 collections at the Cleaners at the Ace Hotel’s. Accordingly, their looks are ready to wear right off the runway. The Cleaners, 403 SW 10th Ave. 8 pm Thursday, Sept. 25. $7. 21+.

Emily Katz Seaplane presents Emily Katz as part of its Pop-Up Shop Trunk Show series. Love Menu performs while everyone shops and drinks bubbly. 919 NW 23rd Ave., 7 pm Friday, Sept. 26. Free.

Via the Runway Nordstrom Downtown Portland presents Via the Runway, a fashion show to benefit the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. Preview the new Via C collections at the runway presentation. After the runway, shop for your favorite styles downstairs in the boutique. Wieden & Kennedy Building, 224 NW 13th Ave., 242-1419. 6:30-10 pm Saturday, Sept. 27. $100.

Portland Fashion Week Touted as the “greenest” fashion week in the world, Portland’s annual cavalcade of local fashion phenoms (as well as a few from Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.) will take place over five days in October. 14 Square Building, 1330 NW 14th Ave. Visit portlandfashionweek.net for more info.
