MUSIC OF THE NORTH: Need an excuse to visit St. Johns? The second annual No.Fest is a free, all-day, all-ages music festival that brings some of the best experimental jazz, folk, and hip-hop to seven unconventional venues in the heart of downtown St. Johns. The whole festival, including performances by WW coverboy Illmaculate, Luck-One, Why I Must Be Careful and Mega*Church, will also be broadcast live on KBOO. UPCYCLE: City Repair, the organization behind all those floral murals painted on intersections around Portland, among other things, premieres a monthly “City ReWare” market, where shoppers can buy “thrift goods” (that’s “used stuff” for the uninitiated) and crafts made from salvaged materials, listen to music and drink tea.
