Free Chicken Keeping Classes

So you've always envisioned yourself as a ruddy-cheeked farmer, waking up every morning at the rooster's crow to administer to your brood before milking the cows. Well, you don't have cows, but you can certainly have chickens in your backyard. Learn how to care for your chickens from the owner of the Urban Farm Store and occasional guest instructors. Skate Like a Girl: Girls-Only Skate Session

Intimidated by the testosterone-charged atmosphere at your local park? Or a little embarrassed by the idea of dropping in for your first time? Stop by the Department of Skateboarding, where local female volunteer skate coaches can help you out with the basics. Extra safety gear and boards are available. $10 donation requested. Department of Skateboarding, 15 NE Hancock St., 493-9480. 11 am-1 pm Sundays. $10.
