Cheap has a bad reputation in some parts of town, but for the hungry writers at WW, it's a way of life. Over the past few months we've tracked down the best inexpensive grub around, discovered the most unusual haunts and scribbled down our findings for this annual guide. We looked for meals presented with pride and restaurants glowing with individuality, and Portland didn't let us down. The goal was to spend less than $10 per person for a fulfilling meal; often we were able to eat for half that. We found that Portland is bursting with comfy, yummy dining options that don't burn a hole through your bank card. Our advice? Go out and eat!
