Donald Trump's New Hampshire Veterans Co-Chair Arrested for Aiding Bundys

Federal officers have arrested the co-chairman of New Hampshire's Veterans for Donald Trump, charging him in the ever-widening case against the militant Bundy family.

Jerry DeLemus visited the Bundy takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge earlier this year, but was arrested in Rochester, N.H., this morning for aiding a 2014 standoff against the feds at Cliven Bundy's ranch in Nevada.

The news website Patch first reported DeLemus' arrest this morning.

DeLemus, a Tea Party activist and the husband of New Hampshire state Rep. Susan DeLemus (R-Rochester), was the only member of a presidential campaign to visit the Malheur refuge. (Several GOP candidates, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), have since angled for the votes of Bundy supporters.)

DeLemus visited the Malheur refuge in January, saying he went on a fact-finding trip for Trump.

"It's my intention to ensure that he has the whole story," DeLemus told Reuters on Jan. 14. "I think it'll really arouse him, and once he understands, I wouldn't be surprised to see him heading out West."
