WW PickFuck Buttons, Growing

[SYNTHESIZED POST-ROCK] On its 2008 debut, Street Horrrsing, experimental British duo Fuck Buttons proved that, though it was noisy, it could still craft majestic epics out of harsh tones, steely scrapes and fuzzy drones (as it proved with what became its calling-card track, the twinkly “Sweet Love For Planet Earth”). The band’s recently released sophomore effort, Tarot Sport, sounds even more synthesized and electronic-based than its first album (if that’s possible), and yet not quite as volatile (though still dangerous). What this means for Fuck Buttons' live show is anyone’s guess, but definitely don’t make the mistake of thinking you no longer need earplugs. Matured or not, Fuck Buttons still plays fucking loud. REBECCA RABER. Worksound TK pm. TK. All ages.
