FIRST, THE GOOD NEWS: Barack Hussein Obama will be sworn in as the nation’s first black president on Tuesday, Jan. 20.

UH, NEVER MIND: Portland Police Officer Jeff Myers says his secret list of frequent downtown lawbreakers—the majority of whom are black—doesn’t amount to racial profiling. The Oregonian editorial board agrees with him.
