A 25-year-old man was jailed after allegedly spraying a man in the face with pepper spray and stealing his laptop Sept. 11. The victim was selling his laptop on Craigslist when authorities say he met the alleged attacker at Salmon Creek Hospital’s parking lot.

About 30 West Sylvan Middle School students used cell phones to contact parents and school officials when their bus driver began behaving strangely Sept. 10. Students said the driver weaved in and out of lanes, then pulled over on Broadway Drive due to “mechanical failure.&rdquo

An early morning crash Sept. 12 closed down northbound lanes on I-5. One person died after crashing a 2001 Saab into the back of a semi truck exiting the freeway. The car flipped and caught on fire.
