The 35 Years article had some seriously misrepresented figures. If you are going to use 1970 dollars for rent and income, it only makes sense to also use 1970 dollars for home value, abortion costs and mayor salaries; otherwise, you give a false impressions to people who fail to note the difference, that rent has stayed about the same while home ownership costs have skyrocketed and the mayor is seriously overpaid...oh wait, but you want people to think that, right?

Very devious and a common practice among all news sources I have read. Shame on you all!
