Vacation's over, folks! Put the vampire novels away and get ready to start digesting Serious Works again—the fall art season is upon us, beginning with MusicfestNW and PICA's Time-Based Art Festival (look for our top picks at both of those events next week). Picking which events to attend from the city's embarrassment of aesthetic riches is a migraine-inducing exercise, so in the hopes of making your ticket choices a tad less trying, we the arts editors have singled out the shows (and books) we're most excited to see in the next three months.
