He's The One Who Wants To Be With Ants

No one ever accused Bert I. Gordon of abandoning his favorite themes. They called him Mr. B.I.G., because the director used rear-projecting small creatures to look like large creatures, and a year after he performed this trick with rats in The Food of the Gods, he returned with 1977's Empire of the Ants. It's by far the superior film, sometimes almost good and often very creepy, with compound-eye insect vision, certain nautical similarities to Jaws, and a twist ending featuring Joan Collins welcoming our new underground overlords. Laurelhurst.
