Cheap Eats 2008

The "Cafe and Saloon" bit is a tipoff: The Industrial successfully straddles its Northwest neighborhood's dual identities, luring both upscale lunchtimers from south of Vaughn and proletarian Miller Timers from the warehouse district to the north. ("SoVa" and "NoVa"? Just say no.) The chic concrete-and-exposed-pipes aesthetic inside is grounded by the imposing bar in the middle, and the Industrial Burger is both Higgins high-end (grass-fed beef from the owners' ranch) and Stanich's hearty (fried egg? Got it). We here at WW are lucky the Industrial's just a short walk from our newish digs—which are, yes, south of Vaughn.
