Cheap Eats 2005

Foodies have been frequenting this "Pho Row" haunt for years. Maybe it's because they encounter the friendliest staff this side of Ho Chi Minh City, or maybe it's the super value of the pan-Asian lunch menu with well-executed standards like Mongolian beef and pad Thai ($5-$5.50). Even the pho-phobic love the ambrosial Vietnamese beef-noodle soup selection ($5.50) and rice vermicelli dishes with mountains of pickled carrots, greens and lemongrass-marinated pork that are so good you, too, will vow to become a regular.
