Cheap Eats 2005

The large dining space in this plain Chinatown spot is packed with tables to accommodate huge Chinese dinner banquets, but you may have the place to yourself if you visit on a weekday. The heaping lunch specials ($5.25) range along the familiar chow mein-Mongolian beef continuum and thankfully ease off on the grease, glop and glutamate. If you're feeling more adventurous, the chicken feet with garlic vinegar ($5) and pork-offal porridge ($4.50) are calling your name. (IG)
