The Kenton Club was indeed world famous…in 1972, for its cameo in Raquel Welch roller-derby epic Kansas City Bomber. Today, the amenities at the WFKC would make a winner out of anyone playing Dive Bar Bingo, and we mean this in the best possible way: generous pours, elaborate wood paneling, pinball, Megatouch, framed mirrors featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales, passive-aggressive seat-saving behavior at the lottery machines and, as an unexpected decor bonus, two enormous, medieval wood-and-wrought-iron chandeliers replete with flicker-flame candle bulbs. Flame may be fleeting, but class is forever.
What to drink: Budweiser. (The Clydesdales are watching.)
Happy hour: 50 cents off well drinks and draft beers 4-6 pm daily.
Entertainment: Live music, jukebox, trivia, pool, pinball, TV, patio.
