Cheap Eats 2008

The sign says Sub Rosa is a "friendly neighborhood joint," and that's a pretty fair description—a stone's throw from the Clinton Street Theater, this is a small, quiet, relaxed spot with super-personable service. Show up in your Rocky Horror getup and dine on a sizable cheese pizza ($12), or add pepperoni for another two bucks. Sub Rosa also offers a handful of more adventurous pizzas—like the Vegetable, with tomatoes, spinach, 'chokes, feta and olives ($16)—and about a dozen different pasta dishes, like pesto or the Spicy Rosa, ranging from $8-$12.
