Dish Review

With a new Anna Bannana's coffee shop and two (two!) places to watch a movie while drinking a beer, St. Johns is certainly getting ready for its close-up. The most glorious setting to watch this slumbering neighborhood's renaissance, though, may be the deck of the Cathedral Park Cafe, tucked into the maze of design firms and creative workspaces in an old Columbia Sportswear facility (the kind of building that will make you want to film a horror movie there). The light-lunch soups ($3-$4), sandwiches ($4-$8.75) and quiches ($3 a slice) at the sun-filled cafe may not be the most filling, but you also get to drink in the view of the majestic St. Johns Bridge towering above and Forest Park just over the river.
