Cheap Eats 2009

This shoebox-sized pizzeria is an insomniac’s fantasy, spinning its heaping, cheese-splattered, medium-crusted pies until 4 am. The garlic-injected Breakfast Pie ($21) mingles bacon, roasted potatoes, eggs and a dash of hot sauce; King Earl’s Deliverance ($21), a palette of pork in pancetta, bacon and sausage, is just plain dreamy. Yep, these are tasty pies for hungry folk and they surely beat a boozy schlep to Taco Bell after last call. Hammy’s delivers. (MT)
