Cheap Eats 2010

There's good Korean in Portland proper but a lot more options in Beaverton, including Country Korean, a strip-mall spot serving beer, wine and some hard-to-find eats. Ever tried steamed pig feet ($19.95, $24.95) or pan-broiled blood sausage ($11.95)? CK's pre-meal banchan (small plates of pickled daikon, kimchi, silken tofu and more) are tasty. The bibimbap ($9.95) is good too, loaded with egg, beef and veggies and served with the usual side of spicy red sauce. Service is curt, hot tea arrives in plastic soda glasses and the Korean TV barely drowns out the noise of the dishwashing station, but it's all part of the charm.
