Cheap Eats 2010

Prices jumped a buck or two with this animal-free-food restaurant's move to tonier digs off Northeast Broadway, but the extra cheddar (don't worry, it's vegan) is worth it: The ludicrously cramped seating and infuriatingly toned yoga bodies didn't hop the river with Blossoming Lotus' organic inventions. The live falafel wrap ($12) revises the standard model with nut-based falafel and tahini-cilantro pâté, and the Green Goddess bowl ($9) earns its celestial title with a textural adventure of fresh greens and quinoa. A suggestion: Go for lunch and enjoy the old Pearl prices.
