Wide windows wrap around the bar, partially covered with decorative curtains (slyly printed with propaganda posters and cartoons), while the inside hosts intimate leather booths and small tables straight from your neighborhood coffee shop. The patrons seem pinched from there as well, reading books in the corner or gaily chatting while sketching in their Moleskines. But they're here for the food and drink—maybe the lauded venison burger ($10) and a glass of one of the bar's many wines.
What to drink: The Bourbon Ginger ($6.30)—sweetness with ginger pulp.
Happy hour: $3 well drinks, $1 off cocktails, 50 cents off draft beers; 5-7 pm nightly.
Entertainment: Board games, including an Oregon-only trivia game.
