Entering Yen Ha is like going to a Saigon speakeasy: Walk through the often-empty storefront dining area, through the back door, and discover the wonders of this dingy-ass, smells-like-shit time warp filled with good people, loads of booze and cheap Vietnamese eats. Order a heaping plate of cashew chicken ($7.50), sink into a low-slung, spinning lounge chair, and listen to a live, acoustic acid-jazz set or take part in an alcohol-soaked karaoke night. I love this place.
Perfect Patron: It's a shame archaeologists have been studying the monoliths at Stonehenge all these years. They could've been excavating the regulars at Yen Ha; they've probably been cemented to those barstools just as long.
