You ever have a friend who pulled off every cool "lifestyle choice" with infuriating ease, making you feel dumb and ugly in the process? No? Well, the Bye and Bye will be that friend—easy to resent, impossible to resist. Give in already. The tattooed boys behind the bar are cute, the vegan food is too good to be true, you can smoke out back if that's your thing and, if you've ever wondered how Dudley Moore felt, you can sit inside on chairs that are too short for the tables. Not convinced? They played Blood Visions in its entirety on the day Jay Reatard died. 'Nuff said.
What to drink: On a warm day, everyone drinks the Bye and Bye ($7), a pink mélange of peach-infused booze and cranberry juice. This is a rare opportunity to drink something pink without looking like an asshole.
Happy hour: $6 Mason jar drafts, $2 chips and salsa, $4 edamame bowl; 4-7 pm daily.
Entertainment: Jukebox, Wi-Fi, cute people, inscrutable tattoos.
