Devour 2010

[BEER] Craig Gulla and Sean Campbell's love of beer, incubated over careers brewing and managing (respectively) in the McMenamins empire, has borne entrepreneurial fruit. The duo's young and still-developing bottle shop has a constantly rotating stock of about 450 beers, organized by variety (rather than nation of origin), at better prices than you'll find in most supermarkets. The stock emphasizes quality over novelty—no banana beer here—and favors small breweries in the U.S. and as far away as Sweden (Nils Oscar) and Japan (Hitachino Nest). Still on the way is a bar with five taps.
Grocery list: AleSmith Anvil ESB ($4.60), Great Divide Oak-Aged Yeti Imperial Stout ($7.95).
