Everything about this place exudes warmth—warm colors, warm lighting, warm wood decor, warm and winsome staff…and warm sake, of course, although many of the artisanal offerings are best served cold. How to decide? The extensive textbooklike sake menu makes you feel like an instant expert in rice wine-crafting styles, and once you've made your selection a basket is offered from which to choose your cup. Do explore some playful cocktails, too, where unexpected partners to Japan's finest—such as whiskey or Campari, who'da thunk it?—surprise and delight.
