Cheap Eats 2009

Once in a while an entirely unlikely phrase floats out of your mouth, such as, “I wish I lived closer to Oswego.” Wow, such is the power of Dang’s. Sandwiched between a carwash and liquor store on the main drag, Dang’s serves fragrant, complex and beautifully presented meals. Start with a bristling, vertical bouquet of fresh rolls ($4 tofu, $6 shrimp) wafting mint and cilantro, move on to a yellow chicken curry ($9) or delicately crisp Three Flavors Halibut ($14). And maybe grab an order of the hot-sweet chicken cashew ($10) to go—because who knows when you’ll get back to LO.
