AMERICAN MUSIC FESTIVAL
[DANCE] In this ode to American music, Oregon Ballet Theatre premieres three pieces, two set to classic orchestral scores and one to the earnest, folksy strains of Seattle’s Fleet Foxes. Choreographer Trey McIntyre—who previously charmed Portland with works set to Roy Orbison and the Sex Pistols—is behind the Fleet Foxes piece. [MUSIC] Celebrate the practice of distributing music via commercial retail shops. Special shows all over the city include Radiation City, WW’s 2012 Best New Band, DJing at Everyday Music at 3 pm and the Thermals signing autographs at Music Millennium at 2 pm. Basically every record store in town. Most events free.
