Join Willamette Week for PIE HARD, presented by Provvista Specialty Foods. Sample from some of Portland's hottest artisan pizza and fruit pie chefs and vote for your favorite in each category. Enjoy live music by Rio Grands, beer by Ecliptic Brewing, and ice cream by Ruby Jewel. Pizza ingredients by Provvista Specialty Foods and produce by New Seasons Market. Wristband proceeds benefit Village Gardens.

Village Gardens brings a spirit of hope to the people by growing and sharing healthy food, learning and teaching skills, and empowering community leadership.

What We Do

Village Gardens' programs include individual and family garden plots, employment opportunities for adults and teens, after-school and summer activities for children, an emerging livestock project, a Community Health Worker program, Food Works, youth-run entrepreneurial business growing and marketing vegetables at local farmers markets, a micro-enterprise project, a community healthy corner store named The Village Market and a Farmers Market.

FAQ

Q: What is included with my wristband? 
A:  Your wristband includes: generous pizza samples from each chef, generous fruit pie samples from each chef, ice cream, live music, $2 Village Gardens benefit, and fun!

Q: Can I bring my kids? 
A: Yes. This event is friendly for all ages. Guests over 21 will be able to purchase beer from Ecliptic Brewing. Non-alcoholic beverage options will also be available. Kids 5 and younger are free!

Q: Is beer included in my ticket price? 
A: No, beer is available for purchase from Ecliptic Brewing at happy hour prices.

Q: Is this outside? What if it rains? 
A: The event will happen rain or shine. 

Q: I can't come anymore! Can I get my money back? 
A: Refunds won't be honored, but your ticket is transferable. Feel free to print out your tickets and give them to a friend. Please contact pie@wweek.com with related questions. 

Q: Where do I park? 
A: Please take public transportation, walk, bike, skate or carpool to this event. If you can't, street parking is copious in the North Cook Street area.

A:  Service animals will be allowed, but please leave all other non-humans at home.
