Time to get your cozy uniform on—Fall is definitely here, and the cold front isn't having any mercy. But dressing down has a few ups. Like Jeans. Really cute ones. And Olio United (1028 SE Water Ave., 542.5000, oliounited.com), the newish, eco-modern boutique (just under three months old), is hosting an exclusive "Denim Night" featuring four of their collections. The added plus is that each brand makes major contributions to the organic denim movement. Yeah, there has been a green jean movement going on, in case you haven't yet taken notice.

The top sellers include a Portland Exclusive at Olio United, Sling and Stone, hailing from Seattle, Good Society with straight and skinny styles for ladies and their metro counterparts, Del Forte, which is made from 100% organic cotton, and probably the most well-known, Loomstate, purveyor of sweatshop-free slim-fit and trouser styles. The socially responsible event is this Thursday, Oct. 11, from 6 pm to 9 pm. And for those who'd rather not have to rock heels all the f'n time, Olio is also offering free hemming with a denim purchase.
