Wowzers! This Sunday night marks the eleventh (yup, eleventh!) edition of our monthly live music 'n' interview extravaganza, the Portland Lounge Series. Sunday, Sept. 30, I'll be chatting up angel-voiced Ali Wesley (best known for crooning with Super XX Man's Scott Garred, perhaps most notably on "Collecting Rocks"
), as well as folk-popper Jared Mees and the ever-charming Boy Eats Drum Machine.
Not sure who the hell these acts are? No worries (we may want to worry, however, about the fact that I've apparently begun using the expression "wowzers"): I've made it hella easy (and I dont' say "hella" often") to check out a track by each PLS XI guest within this very post. (You can also click on the links below to learn more.)
It's all local, it's every month (last Sundays) and, as always, it's free! Festivities get under way around 9:30 pm or so. Hope to see y'all there!
This month's Portland Lounge Series, featuring Ali Wesley, Jared Mees and Boy Eats Drum Machine takes place Sunday, Sept. 30, at the Towne Lounge. 9:30 pm. Free. 21+.
