WW's resident cartoonist, John Callahan, has a worldview and drawing style all his own. And while we love Callahan, sometimes even we WWers find his work as inscrutable as city charter reform, or the exact location of Portland's urban growth boundary.

So, inspired by the pioneering exegesis in Joe Mathlete's Marmaduke Explained, we took to the rain-slicked streets of early morning Portland with Callahan's latest offering in hand (involving a man in a doctor's office, a mysterious floating penis, and lots of pregnant women), and asked our readers to crawl inside the entertaining, engaging and yes, sometimes enraging mind of John Callahan:
