Faux Cannibals—Is this for real?

cannibalismOK, we all know that certain Japanese dining customs are strange, but this one enters a whole new realm of weirdness--so odd that I personally think it's a load of crap. According to Weird Asia News, the so-called "Banquet of Cannibalism" features the likeness of a female form made edible—from head-to-toe—with fit-to-eat internal organs. The body is said to bleed when you cut into it.

Now, Nyotaimori, or the eating of sushi off a naked lady's bits, seemed novel at one time, but now is about as original as body shots at the Barracuda. Is mimicking cannibalism the next big thing?

What do you think? Is this real? What's it made from? Have you ever seen it? Tried it? Have a friend who's tried it? I want to know. I need to know.
