EAT: Yet Another Food Cart Pod Coming to North Portland

There's another player Portland's increasingly crowded field of purpose-built food cart parking lots. First there was Mississippi Marketplace, then Refuel Station North, then Dreamer's Marketplace and now Crystal Food Garden, a new venture on North Lombard Street in St. Johns. Where's that? Right between the Crystal Temple and Big Kahuna's BBQ. Crystal Food Garden began recruiting in April and, according to its website, has already landed four carts: Sisters ("European wraps, soups and salads"), a hotdog cart called Coney Carnage, sourdough pizza cart Pizza Contadino and Anya's Thai.

Will Portland ever reach food cart saturation? Evidently not.
