Despite all of the distracting construction going down in the Pearl as of late—there is even more of a diversion going on at 1225 NW Everett St. A new, urbane boutique recently opened its dapper doors. Yes, the one with the huge visual of a French woman with dark hair pulled back, joined by some random copy referring to a grandma and following in her well-heeled footsteps. Moule, the latest and greatest addition to the swanky Pearl set, makes for a barrage of expertly selected, high-end men's and women's separates, (J Brand, Drifter, Catherine Malandrino) adorably chic kiddie clothing and a hodgepodge of designer housewares and eccentric tchotchkes (quirky letterpress stationary, Playboy collector's books). It's the Canadian company's first venture in the U.S. The roomy, well-lit, fresh space is sure to attract all the W+K'ers looking for reprieve/inspiration from heavy workloads and the wealthy and stylish searching for designers otherwise rarely found in our fair city.

The name's a little odd (in French, the female translation is "mussel," as well as slang for the female's, ahem, cooter. The masculine form refers to "molding"). We're guessing they were aiming for the latter. Check it out.
