New Year's Trouble at The Old Library

Portland police arrested 60-year-old Lenny Davidson on New Year's Day after responding to a burglary call at The Old Library Studio in Northeast. Police spotted Davidson exiting the building carrying an electric guitar and sound mixing board, and determined that he had broken a side window with a rock, then broke through an interior door and attempted to smash other windows inside the building.

The Studio, one of the recipients of this year's WW Holiday Give!Guide, reports that no items are missing after the break-in. We're happy to know that young Portland musicians will continue to record as usual for 2007, with only a few minor distractions from glass repairmen and alleged burglaries by AARP members.
