Last Chance to get LIT This Weekend

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but one of Portland's edgiest purveyors of up-to-the-minute fashion, LIT, (214 SW 8th Ave., 827-3300) is closing its hipper-than-thou doors this Sunday, Dec. 31.

Opened in October 2001 by partners Brooke Claridge and Kenny Wujek, and catering to downtown indie rockers, yuppie intellectuals, and trustafarians ever since, LIT became a male style haven in a sea of fashionably-handicapped Portlanders.

Claridge refused to return our calls on the matter, but we have a nagging hunch that LIT started a downward spiral with the departure of Wujek last April. Nevertheless, everyone loves a good mark-off, and now until close this Sunday, everything in the store will be 50% off.

Take advantage of exclusive international collections from Copenhagen-based Casch and Stockholm-based J Lindeberg as well as hard-to-find, funky threads by Harajuku Lovers, Loomstate and GSUS.
