For the folks at the McKenzie Farms in Estacada, Ol' Saint Nick was wearing blue this year instead of red.
It started when Portland Police investigated a potentially stolen trailer in late November. A citizen became suspicious when a man selling a trailer on Craig's List
couldn't produce a title, police said.
When officers showed up at the Southeast 98th Avenue home to investigate, they found 10 Christmas trees and six wreaths, which they determined had been stolen from the McKenzie tree farm in Clackamas County, police spokesman Brian Schmautz says.
The items were returned and the 33-year-old suspect was charged with first-degree theft.
His name—we're not kidding—is Forest Green.
