Portland City Attorney's Office Says Saltzman Committeed No Ethical Breach

The Portland City Attorney's Office says Commissioner Dan Saltzman is not guilty of a conflict of interest after having voted on a panel to give a taxpayer-funded grant to his girlfriend's employer.

The issue of whether that may have been the case surfaced yesterday after the Portland Mercury disclosed the relationship, and two of Saltzman's opponents in the May 18 primary said Saltzman was guilty of a conflict of interest.
