TriMet Picks A New GM

TriMet's national search to replace departing long-time general manager Fred Hansen has landed on an insider. The agency's board of directors today selected Neil McFarlane, currently its executive director for capital projects, as the new GM.

At least McFarlane won't be able to say he's unaware of the issues facing TriMet when it comes to service cuts and a fare increase as well as safety.
