When Grant High School's Ndamukong Suh
spurned Oregon State University and the University of Oregon to play football at the University of Nebraska, there was much gnashing of teeth by local sports fans about a great player who got away.
Suh's standout senior season
last year heightened the loss, as he's now one of the top prospects heading into this week's NFL draft.

Of course, this bit of history
involving Oregon State and a similar commitment long ago from alum hoopster Gary Payton might give Nebraska some pause before they go spending Suh's pledge.
