Mayoral Recall Campaign Says It's "Closing In On 20,000 Signatures"

The campaign to recall Mayor Sam Adams says it has almost 20,000 signatures with just 12 more days to collect an additional 12,000 names. In other words, it needs to get 1,000 a day — or 41 per hour or ... well, you get the idea.

The deadline to submit the signatures collected from City of Portland residents is April 20.

As of last week, the campaign estimated it had between 12,000 and 15,000 signatures on hand.
