Wed September 23rd – Olympia, Wa – The Northern
First day of the tour starts off well at The Northern, a new all-ages showspace in Olympia. This place is rad and efficient – all volunteer run, good sound, nice people! We were joined by our local favorites Ocean Age, who played a superb set full of soothing harmonies. Next, the Christopher Francis Trio sort of melted our faces off with an Iggy Pop meets T-Rex glam. Great venue – we will be back.
Thurs September 24th – Bend, Or – Silver Moon
We joined up with our Tender Loving Empire pallies Finn Riggins for the first of our three shows with them. These Boise kids played mean, fast, keyboard-driven prog mania and the locals loved it. The nice folks at Silver Moon provided us with their lovely brewed beer and it was very tasty.
Friday September 25th – La Grande, OR - Crawlspace
Having heard about the legendary crawlspace for quite awhile, we rolled up at dusk and were met with strange green light.
After a few hours, the place was filled with loud and boisterous masses, all excited to be together, but sad to say goodbye to a local staple. Tons of great bands have played here over the years, but alas, this was to be the last Crawlspace show ever! Part warehouse, part bungalow, part artist-community…Fantastic sets by Yeah, Great, Fine and Finn Riggins. Jared Mees helped everyone put the space to rest.
Oh and we got to play a Mellotron! What!?
Saturday September 26th – Boise, ID - V.A.C.
Back in Boise, nice sound, amazing venue!
Finn Riggins killed it – again.
Gas mask Buddha.
Talkdemonic sounded AWESOME. Local love! Thanks for letting us playyyyyyyyy.
More dispatches soon!

We are super-stoked to have one of our favorite Portland bands, Church, keeping a tour diary. Huzzah!
