Interim Multnomah County Sheriff
Dan Staton, who's already picked up a
significant union endorsement from the corrections deputies in his election run, has almost completed the puzzle of putting together all the organized labor support that matters in the race.
Staton's campaign announced today he's been endorsed by
AFSCME Local 88, which represents about 2,800 county employees including the sheriff's civilian staff. (He also announced the support of ILWU).
The last piece of the puzzle is expected in early March when the union for the law enforcement sheriff's deputies makes its endorsement
among Staton, former Undersheriff
Tom Slyter and Corrections Sgt.
Muhammad Ra'oof.
